Peter Raos Glass Gallery

Peter Raos Glass Gallery is the exclusive showcase for Peter's art glass. Peter Raos is a New Zealand born master glass artist. Peter Raos Glass Gallery Devonport Auckland, New Zealand is within easy reach of downtown by ferry and features a wide range of Peter's work including one off pieces.

Peter Raos has adapted Monet's layering technique to the medium of Glass. The Water lily Series has the serenity of a water lily pond on a hot summer's day. Peter uses millefiori techniques to express the coolness and tranquility of green foliage and blue water. Pale pink water lilies open. Catch the slight movement of water created by a fleeting reflection of sunlight glinting on the surface of the pond. This is a tribute to Impressionist Claude Monet.

Peter Raos uses hot glass to make all of the glass art. He uses amber, turquoise, aquamarine, ruby, lustrous brown, tangerine, lapis blue and emerald. He makes the sea creatures by hand, employing lamp work and Italian Murrine techniques to express the depth and glow of a garden blooming with flowers.
