Bishop Auckland Town Hall

Bishop Auckland Town Hall was set up in September 1993. Theatre, music, literature, dance, visual arts and crafts are all featured on a regular basis and there is a constant program of events for children, people with special needs and specific interest groups.

The Eden Theatre is the main performance area seating 210 people comfortably. Seating, state –of- the - art lighting, sound systems make each performance as memorable as possible. The Eden Theatre is also the main function room for the Town Hall - many different uses have been made of the space over the years - from tea dances to wedding receptions, birthdays and exhibitions.

Many exhibitions are programmed to run for 3 weeks at a time. The Town Hall encourages a wide diversity of styles and exhibitions. It provides artists with an excellent space in which to display their work. The Gallery may also be used for meeting or workshops. Moreover, any of the special occasions can be planned, be it a Birthday Party or Anniversaries. Whatever your requirements, the experienced and professional team is always ready to discuss and
assist in the planning of any function.

Monday - Friday, 10.00am - 5.00pm;
Saturday, 9.00am - 4.00pm
