The Auckland Festival has been organized twice in Auckland namely in the year 2003 (AK03) and 2005 (AK05). Both have been a critical success, and they have generated a growing audience, and significant economic impact for the region.
Looking forward to the future, Auckland Festival, AK07 aims to support world premieres of new works and bring international performing arts events to Auckland that have never been seen in Australasia. It will host an exciting visual arts programme and an exhilarating contemporary music programme. It would like to be recognized as the premier festival of arts and culture of New Zealand and the Pacific. The festival held in 2005 confirmed its reputation as one of the leading arts and cultural centers of this hemisphere.
The spectacular Festival provides unique cultural opportunities to the city and region that make it a more dynamic and better place to live. It surely enriches the fabric of the community, expanding the cultural borders for its artists and audiences.
