The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show

The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show 2005 was held at the Auckland Showgrounds. This spectacular event showcased the boats used in the popular James Bond movies. It was a thrilling experience as it showcased four of the more incredible craft used in the films, including the Tow Sled from the 1965 movie, Thunderball; the Bath- O- Sun from 1971's Diamonds Are Forever, the Neptune Submarine from 1981's For Your Eyes Only and the famous Q Boat from the 1979 hit, The World is Not Enough.

This annual event involves boat manufacturers and importers from all around the country. They come to the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show and try to win a coveted Boat of the Show award. All the entrants compete in 12 categories. The highest scoring boat overall wins the prestigious Boat of the Show: Overall Winner Award.

The show draws an enormous crowd who get wild trying to have a glimpse of the majestic and colorful boats.

Over 230 exhibitors from all around New Zealand and from all sections of the marine industry attend the show.

There are also great opportunities to win fantastic prizes. It is a popular event.
