The Occidental Bar

It is one of the oldest bars of the region faithfully serving its patrons for over a century. Other bars have come and gone but the Occidental Bar has managed to hold its own position. The Occidental Bar in the Hotel opened its doors to the public on July 2, 1870. It was founded by American sailor Edward Perkins.

The Bar provides the very best service to its customers with beverages they had never experienced before. This tradition is being continued by the Occidentals newest owners, Frenzi Group Ltd. Incredible food, great bevies, and friendly staff await you at the club. It guarantees to satisfy the cravings of the clock- watchers and leisure lovers alike. Their impeccable service ensures that you will enjoy yourself while you are in the bar.

Every Sunday it showcases upcoming NZ artists as well as a few old favorites! Put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away You can choose from a plethora of drinks available here. They serve some of the best beers in town. Their heady cocktails seem out of this world. Their bartenders leave you satisfied and are great at mixing drinks.
